MANILA — The Department of Agriculture-Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DA-DRRM) Operation Center on Tuesday reported PHP4.55 million initial damage to agricultural infrastructure brought about by the recent earthquakes in Davao del Sur and Cotabato.

In its latest bulletin, the DA-DRRM said damage to agri-infrastructure includes the Rice Processing Center, Solar-Powered Irrigation System, DA Guest House, and a warehouse in North Cotabato.

The DA also reported that its mini-storage facility for coffee in Balutakay, Bansalan, Davao del Sur was also damaged while irrigation canals in districts 8, 11.

13, and 14 in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur sustained major cracks.

It said the DA Regional Field Offices (RFOs) in 11 and 12 have an on-going physical inspection of the affected areas to further estimate the cost of damage and losses incurred.

Meanwhile, the DA, in partnership with various government and non-government agencies, has been distributing relief support to areas affected by the earthquake that left at least 17 people dead and 327 injured.
