Longtime on-screen partners John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo were spotted by a fan at Barotuan Church in El Nido together last Tuesday, June 11, sharing an image of her encounter on Facebook.

Balitang Palawan originally shared the fan’s images of the rare sighting, with talent manager Ogie Diaz reposting, revealing that John Lloyd has a property in the area. Thirty-five-year-old John Lloyd also shared the image to his 231,000 Instagram followers joking, “Popoy and Basha reunited in Palawan,” referring to the couple’s famous film together, “One More Chance” and “A Second Chance,” where they portrayed college sweethearts that face the struggles of breakups and marriage.

The two were last seen together in Paris in 2017 to attend stylist Rex Atienza’s wedding.

After announcing his “indefinite leave of absence” in the same year, John Lloyd has stayed away from the public eye to “attend to personal matters” and has since kept a private life with partner Ellen Adarna and son Elias Modesto.

Bea shared a series of images on her social media enjoying the water on her El Nido trip, while her on-screen counterpart was seen taking a family vacation alongside Beauty Gonzalez, husband Norman Crisologo, and daughter Olivia.

Soon after the image from Palawan, John Lloyd excites fans by sharing a clip with Bea, hinting at a possible new film together.
