Sunshine Garcia, Alex Castro officially married

Former member of Sexbomb Girls, Sunshine Garcia has officially tied the knot with partner singer-actor Alex Castro last Saturday, March 2 at the Manila Cathedral.

There were a total of 270 guests for the ceremony of the Banana Split star and the Bulacan 4th District Board Member, with Sunshine glowing in a caped wedding gown by Patricia Santos embellished by a pair of blush-colored custom-made heels by Jefferson Si. Her makeup was done by Gery Penaso, while her hairpiece was by Aries Manal. The groom, on the other hand, wore a three-piece tuxedo by Edwin Tan.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Sofitel Plaza in Pasay, which was decorated with mirrors and pink flowers. During the program, the newly-married couple treated their attendees to a performance of “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri.

Among the stars included on the wedding guest list included actor John Prats and wife Isabel Oli, former Sexbomb dancers and bridesmaids Mia Pangyarihan, Aiko Climaco, Johlan Veluz, and Cynthia Yapchingco, Wowowin dancer Rovie Cabigquez, fellow Banana Sundae cast/crew Badji Mortiz, Pooh, and Direk Bobot Mortiz. Celebrities Jake Cuenca, Angelica Panganiban and Joseph Marco, and talent manager Allan Altera were also there, as well as commercial models Zuher Bautista, Cris Lomotan, and businessman Mikhail Hirang.

Sunshine and Alex first got engaged last December 2017 after three years of being together. In September 2018, the couple welcomed their first child together, baby boy Axel.

Last February, in their engagement video by Nice Print Photography and directed by close friend John Prats, Sunshine and Alex opened up about love and loss, saying in Filipino, “You renewed the way I see life.

You gave me a reason to be happy again,” Sunshine adding, “I didn’t realize that will come again for me.”
