Miss Universe-Vietnam 2018 attends youth congress in Naga City

H’Hen Nie from Vietnam, who represented her country in Miss Universe 2018 and landed in the Top 5, has been known for winning the hearts of an international audience after the story of her humble beginnings went viral post-pageant, inspiring even more people as she visits the youth congress held at JMR Coliseum in Naga City last Saturday, February 2.

The beauty queen posts about her experience on social media, quoting her speech to the students and young professionals present, saying, “I’m very honoured and grateful to be here, to join Youth Congress of Francis Padua Papica Foundation, Inc.

H’Hen Nie had a warm welcome from her Filipino fans as she arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport the day before the event, first greeted by her Filipino pageant coach Arjo Santos. In H’Hen Nie’s words, “Mabuhay, Philippines. Thank you so much for your warm welcome.”

Soon after, the 26-year-old is seen eating the Filipino dish tuyo, stating, “My favorite!! I can consume a whole bowl of rice with one of this fish.” She returned to her home country soon after speaking at the youth event, bidding farewell by saying, “It’s time to say goodbye, Thank you so much Philippines, I will never forget your love and warm welcome, I love all of you.”
