Twenty-five-year-old Filipino-Australian Catriona Gray attends her very first red carpet event as Miss Universe 2018, gracing the National Football League (NFL) Honors Awards in Atlanta last Saturday, February 2.

Catriona posts a photo of herself at the event wearing a black gown by Tadashi Shoji paired with matching high heeled sandals from ShowDazzle, captioned, “Had an amazing time at my first red carpet event of 2019 learning about American football for the first time at the NFL Honors in Atlanta! Who are you guys rooting for in this year’s Super Bowl?” Her date for the event was Miss USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers, while Steve Harvey was the host.

Both of the girls’ makeup was done by artist Madi Bernard. During their livestream on the way to the event, Catriona admits she doesn’t have any background knowledge on the sports, joking, “I have no idea. Sarah has been helping me understand the game.”

Among the celebrities that also attended the NFL Honors Awards are Ryan Reynolds, Bozoma Saint John, Alvin Kamara, Ciara, Camila Mendes, Vanessa Hudgens and Paul Rudd.

After the prestigious happening, Catriona reports, “It’s my first time learning about American football, but what a way to do it. I actually was very surprised going into the NFL Honors, and seeing that they not only focus on the player’s achievements but how they contributed back to their community, so I came out of that event very inspired.
