Beauty queen Catriona Gray celebrates her 25th birthday not only by hitting a total of four million followers on Instagram, but also touring around New York with her Mikimoto crown as she kicks off her Miss Universe 2018 media tour the day after her special day.

Catriona appeared on popular television talk shows Good Morning America and Live With Kelly and Ryan, where she discussed her mom’s dream come true of her winning Miss Universe in a red dress, her experiences in Bangkok, and her advocacy of providing quality education for underprivileged children. In her words about education and her partner non-government organization (NGO) Young Focus, “I really believe that education is transformative. It’s something that you can give to a child or to a person that can never be taken away from them, which is why I’m so passionate about it.”

On a lighter note, Catriona even discussed her love for singing, stating, “As Miss Universe, I would love to participate in a benefit concert or something like that to merge my love for music and giving back. That would be amazing.”

During Live With Kelly and Ryan, the hosts asked Catriona how she celebrated her special day, revealing, “I saw a Broadway show, enjoyed a bit of a food trip, and went to Hillsong,” even joking about the city’s weather stating, “I look like a siopao when I go out, really fluffy-looking, but as long as I’m warm, it’s all good.”

It was also noticeable during the show that a lot of the audience were proud Filipinos who held up the flag and posters of Catriona, the beauty queen then responding, “Filipino fans are the best fans in the world, and this whole journey has been amazing.”

As a response to the beginning of her long string of interviews, Catriona took to Instagram to say, “Thanks to everyone who are tuning in and tagging me! It’s starting to sink in!”
