Filipino Indie rock band IV of Spades has been chosen to perform as the opening act for Panic! At the Disco’s (P!ATD’s) “Pray for the World” Manila concert happening at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on Saturday, October 20.

The news was released by Warner Music Philippines, IV of Spades’ record label, sharing an article that captioned, “Where have you been my Panic! At the Disco?’ Yes! Because IV of Spades will open for P!ATD this Saturday. Keep your hopes high.”

IV of Spades’ members vocalist-bassist Zild Benitez, drummer Badjao De Castro, and guitarist Blaster Silonga were known as recent nominations for Best Southeast Asian Act at the Music Television (MTV) Europe Music Awards. In 2018, they also won Music Video of the Year, Record of the Year, Favorite Group Artist, and Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist at the Awit Awards 2018. They also received two MYX Music Awards this year.

Their most Instagram photo addressed a message to the fans, saying, “It was a rough year but you clasped us from falling. Thank you for believing in us.”

IV of Spades is most known for their hit songs “Bata Dahan Dahan,” “In My Prison,” and “Mundo.”

Panic! At the Disco, on the other hand, is a double-platinum selling American rock band known for hits “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” “This Is Gospel,” and “High Hopes.” The band consists of lead singer Brendan Urie, guitarist Mike Naran, bassist Nicole Row, and drummer Dan Pawlovich. MMI Live is bringing the artists to the Philippines for the second time. Tickets are still available on smtickets.com.
