Actress Cristine Reyes further sparked discussions on her rumored split with husband Ali Khatibi after removing his surname from her Instagram account username.

On October 9, many noticed when Cristine’s account name shifted from ‘@mrscristinekhatibi’ to ‘@cristinereyesss.’ She did the same for her Facebook and Twitter profiles. This is in addition to Cristine unfollowing Ali on all of his accounts last May.

The rumors of the couple’s split began in January when Cristine asked her fans for prayers. She posted a photograph with her husband that captioned, “Dear God, I pray for my marriage right now. Please guard my relationship with my husband and protect us against elements that tempt or taunt us to ruin what we have. Convict our hearts when we are wrong or unrighteous, fill us with a passion to get better and bless us with a deep love for each other.”

Cristine’s sister and fellow actress Ara Mina told the media last April that she supports her sister. In Filipino, she said, “It’s normal for married couples to fight and have disagreements.”

The last time Cristine denied rumors of her separation was in March. Since then, she has avoided interview questions pertaining to the subject.

Cristine and Ali had their daughter Amarah in February 2015. They then tied the knot less than a year later at luxury resort Balesin. Cristine described her wedding as “just a handful of guests consisting of family and best friends but it was totally, totally perfect. Inspiring.”

Last year, Cristine even spoke to PhilStar about having another baby, admitting in Filipino, “Second baby? I want already. We have to wait a bit, I guess.”

Ali added, “There are things that we still want to do. We want to enjoy Amarah. Maybe if she’s four or three and a half, maybe we’ll plan for a baby boy.
