MANILA — A special offsite registration for persons with disabilities (PWDs) will be held in three provinces in Region 1 on Friday, July 20, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said on Thursday.

The poll body said the simultaneous satellite registrations will be held in all covered courts in the cities and municipalities of Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.

“The Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) will accept the application for registrations from PWDs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday,” the Comelec said in a statement.

The poll body added that a special satellite registration activity will also be held at Robinsons Mall in Calasiao, Pangasinan.

Applications for new registration transfer/transfer with reactivation, reactivation, change/correction of entry and inclusion/reinstatement of records in the list of voters will be accepted.

“Pursuant to Comelec Resolution No. 10392, preferences shall be given to members of the vulnerable sector in satellite registrations,” the Comelec said.

On July 2, the system of continuing registration of voters for the May 13, 2019 national and local elections resumed.

The nationwide voter registration will run until Sept. 29, 2018.

The poll body targets to register 1.5 to 2 million new voters during the three-month registration period.
