Cebu City cops seize P1.4-M drugs in a week

CEBU CITY — The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) confiscated a total of 108.84 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” and 1,484 stalks of marijuana from March 19 to March 25.

The weekly accomplishment report of the CCPO released Tuesday said the total haul has a Dangerous Drugs Board value of PHP1,470,187.

Police Station 4 in Mabolo came out as the top performing unit for the week with a total haul of 36.12 grams of shabu worth PHP426,216.

The Mabolo Police Station recovered 14 grams in Barangay Carreta valued at PHP165,200, 12 grams (PHP141,600) in Barangay Banilad, and 10.12 grams (PHP110,416) in Barangay Luz.

The City Intelligence Branch (CIB) came in second after confiscating 29.13 grams or PHP343,734 worth of shabu.

The drugs seized by the CIB include 17.2 grams (PHP202,960) in Barangay Pahina Central, 8 grams (PHP94,400) in Barangay Sawang Calero, and 2 grams (PHP23,600) in Barangay Bulacao.

Other top performers on the list are the Guadalupe Police Station 9 with 13.12 grams, Talamban Police Station 8 with 11.99g, and the Mambaling Police Station 11 with 6 grams.

The 1,484 stalks of marijuana worth PHP185,875 was uprooted by the City Mobile Force Company in one of the mountain barangays in Cebu City.
