VANCOUVER FASHION WEEK RELEASES ITS FULL DAY-BY-DAY SCHEDULE

[Vancouver, BC – March 2018] Vancouver Fashion Week Fall/Winter 18 is set to be the best yet, and now you can see exactly who is showing and when on the VFW FW18 Schedule. Go to www.vanfashionweek.com/schedule to plan your perfect week.

Kicking off with the Opening Gala on Monday the 19th, guests will be privy to a handful of designer previews giving us a glimpse into the incredible design work to come throughout the week. Full lines by Nicole JedelskyWHO IS ATK, and Qiongxin Kou make a strong start to the FW18 season.

Tuesday’s lineup features an eclectic mix of designers from across the globe. Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia will represented by the likes of Atelier Grandi, Si_Mee_CollectionsBaroque Japanesque, and Allison Berger.

Wednesday will be a night to highlight the local talents from Vancouver and Canada as a whole. VFW has a long and strong history of partnering with local design schools to show students’ lines each season. Vancouver Community College will start proceedings on Wednesday night with over 30 looks from their creative students. Following alongside will be a mix of Canadian brands including locals MUVMINT-ization studio, and King & Reign.

Opening Thursday’s shows will be La Salle College showcasing the latest upcoming student talent from Vancouver. Accompanying the students will be leatherwear brand Melissa Yin, eco-conscious The House of AmZ, bridal designs by ZURI, and print aficionado Pariah.

Profanity by LillzKillz begins Friday’s shows with a bang showcasing vibrant designs that are gender non specific. Taking us into the weekend are a set of emerging designers from stateside including JK MenswearNadjarina, and Alexander Sanchez. Conceptual Japanese brand perspective.tokyo makes its debut, and Australian designer Allie Howard will close the night with her textile experiments.

Saturday will see thousands flood through the doors at the David Lam Hall. First to hit the runway are local favourites Kirsten Ley and Evan Clayton. Chilean brandKO by Katherin O will feature plus-sized designs and ALEX S. YU will be showcasing his latest collection of mens and womenswear to end the inspirational evening.

Sunday’s lineup begins with a menswear focus as presented by local brands This Is James and NOT DEAD YET. Next up is a dynamic duo show with designersYUNER SHAO X ZHERUI HUANG from the USA. Marronier College of Fashion Design from Japan will be also be presenting two student designers Mono Watanabe and Rinka Hyodo. Finally, bringing FW18 to a close will be an experimental collection by designer Milena Rojas hailing from Chile.
