BEIJING, China — People’s Republic of China said it is willing to impart its practices and success in governance with other countries for as long as it is based on the five principles of peaceful code systems.

Executive Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui, in a press conference at the Great Hall of People on Sunday, said China’s development is conducive to world’s stability and prosperity.

“With each development, China has created many opportunities for the world and especially, China has a special contribution to global growth and international trade and poverty reduction across,” Zhang said.

Zhang reiterated that China would not impose anything in return but rather remain defender and contributor to the existing international order.

“What we actively uphold is the international order with the purposes, in what we believe has roles that contribute to the economy and aspirations when it comes to the reform of global governance system.

China stands ready to participate in it as the international order could evolve to greater justice and equity,” he added.

‘Belt and Road’, not a geo-strategic tool

Zhang also clarified the misinterpretation on Belt and Road initiatives as China’s geo-strategic tool. He said the initiative is aimed pursuing shared benefit for all parties involved.

“The Belt and Road initiative is a proposal for economic collaboration and it focuses on the connectivity and aims to achieve a win-win outcome,” he said.

“Through consultation and collaboration of the initiative, all the participants are equal partners. It is an inclusive and open platform and does not exclude or target any country, but it is open to all those who are interested,” he said, admitting though that is still at its early stage, it is natural for the initiative to face challenges.

“We welcome all positive and constructive opinions and we believe that all parties work together for the shared benefits through dialogue and close communication, the Belt and Road Initiative will deliver great results,” he added.

The first session of the 13th National People’s Congress (NPC), China’s national legislature, is set from March 7 to 20.

NPC deputies will deliberate on a draft revision to China’s Constitution, draft supervision law, and a reform plan for State Council institutions, Zhang said.

The deputies will also elect and decide on members of state organizations, he added.
