While their reunion on-screen sent their fans some of the wildest emotions after missing them for 26 years, ex-couple and ex-on screen partners Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion confessed on the ‘awkwardness’ between them.

Sharon and Gabby’s Valentine’s gift for their fans may have ignited social media, but as an ex-couple who barely communicated for the longest time, there was sure to be an air full of unsureness between them.

Nung sinabing siya [‘yung kasama ko], alam mo ‘yung (When I was informed that he will be my partner, you know that) mixed emotions na (like) is it going to be fun? Will it be a happy reunion?” the Mega star started in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Kasi nga hindi kami nakapag-usap ng napakahabang panahon (Because we really did not have any communication for the longest time), not even sa phone. At ‘yung last, hindi maganda (And the last one was not really a good one),” Sharon revealed.

Sharon also admitted that she just prayed for the shoot to be okay.

She then proceeded on the story on the day of the shoot – in which she arrived without even asking if her ex-husband was there.

“I was with my team. After a while, parang nagkaroon ng kaunting (there was a bit of a) commotion. Pagtingin ko, siya (When I looked, it was him),” Sharon continued.

Sabi niya (He said), ‘I brought you fruits.’ Nag-thank you lang ako, tapos (I just said thank you and then), ‘O sige, see you later.’ Alam mo na nagkakailangan kami (We really had an awkward moment),” she added,

However, Sharon said that the thick air just evaporated in a sudden when they faced each other before the cameras started rolling.

With their love before giving birth to a KC Concepcion, they found themselves talking about their daughter, then eventually their family life, and some more stories. Sharon then said that since it was a confidential project, even KC had no idea of their reunion for the ad.

Entitled as “Kamusta Ka,” the commercial features Nonoy Zuniga’s song of the same name – which had 28,000 views on Youtube, and 1.2 million views on Facebook – just five hours from its upload time. It was also one of Twitter’s trending topics with 1,300 tweets.
