PSBank assures e-channel services on Chinese New Year

MANILA — All 609 PSBank automated teller machines (ATMs), as well as its mobile and online facilities will be available to cater to the bank’s clients on Friday, Chinese New Year holiday, even though all its branches will be closed.

In a statement Thursday, the thrift banking arm of the Yuchengco Group also said all payroll crediting on Feb. 16 would proceed.

Billing accounts with due date on Friday will also proceed, with PSBank loans payments value dated on its original due date but will be debited on February 19.

“Accounts not debited on Feb. 16 due to insufficient funds should be funded by Feb. 19 to avoid penalties,” the statement said.

Check clearing, meanwhile, will be suspended on Friday and checks received after the cut-off time Thursday will be processed once bank operations resume Monday next week.

“No penalties will be charged for checks dated Feb. 16, intended for PSBank loan payments,” the statement said.
Time deposits with maturities on Friday will also be processed Monday the following week, it said.
