MANILA, Phillippines—YouTube personality Wil Dasovich has confirmed that he and cosplayer and model Alodia Gosiengfiao and are in a romantic relationship, settling speculations about the real score between the two.

In a video blog (vlog) entitled The Truth About My “Fake Relationship” posted on Wil’s YouTube channel, he and Alodia laughed off rumours that they are in a “staged relationship” to gain a larger following on the internet.

Although their relationship remained unconfirmed to the public until this year’s Valentine’s Day, Wil said that their “core fan base” have always known about it.

He clarified that they neither kept their relationship a secret nor denied it.

“For the most part, we just thought it’s obvious. We thought it was confirmed, like, multiple times. There were so many videos and months that went by where we were like, ‘Oh, that’s a confirmation, right?’” he said, referring to their travels together and Alodia’s presence when he was then battling colon cancer that’s presently in remission.

“After I got diagnosed and everything, of everyone in the world, she was the only person that came out and visited me and hung out with me and basically lived with me. She would do that every few weeks.”

“She would go back, do a job or whatever celebrity interview or commercial she was doing at the time. She always go back after a couple of weeks. That says enough.”

Wil added that he was very “sure” their relationship was confirmed when they started showing physical affection towards each other, as seen in his vlogs.

How highly and affectionately he spoke of Alodia in his previous vlogs should have also given the public a clue, Wil said.

At the end of his vlog, a giggly and undeniably ‘kilig’ Wil admitted: “So, yeah. She’s my girlfriend. Secret’s out. Yihee! We’re official!”
