In celebration of the month of love, it seems that there is more in store for musically-inclined couple TJ Monterte and KZ Tandingan.

Singer-songwriter TJ took into social media his genuine happiness for his girlfriend, when KZ defeated international singer Jessie J in the Chinese reality singing contest Singer 2018.

Iyong mapabilib mo idol mo, sarap sa puso nun (When you impress your idol, that feels really good in the heart)!” TJ wrote in a tweet.

The 28-year old singer knew how KZ was inspired and influenced by Jessie J’s music, and was delighted for this achievement and experience of his girlfriend.

TJ did not stop revealing to the world how proud he is of KZ and also brought it to Instagram through a post. He shared a photo of KZ with the edited text, “‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him,’ 1 Cor 2:9 NLT.”

He also captioned the post with, “what a clear manifestation this is. Very well deserved, my love.”

For their fans, the singing couple will also have an upcoming Valentine concert in Cagayan de Oro entitled “TJ x KZ Live in CDO” scheduled on February 17.

KZ got the highest rank for her “Rolling in the Deep” performance in the last episode, originally sung by Adele.

Unlike most singing contests that rely on judges’ scores, Singer 2018 features a system of inviting 500 “musically-knowledgeable” audience members who will cast the votes. The votes for two weeks will be computed on average. Whoever ranks the lowest will be kicked out of the competition. KZ is the Philippines’ representative in the said competition. She told ABS-CBN News that she plans to sing Freddie Aguilar’s “Anak” in her next performance ‘if given the chance.’
