It took 26 years for former lovers Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion to be together once again onscreen.

Through an advertisement, the famous ‘80s loveteam made a comeback just in time for the hearts’ month of February.

Before the one-minute clip made rounds and became viral online on February 9, fans were already ecstatic on February 7 when the two veteran stars followed each other’s Instagram accounts. A screenshot was posted by the fruit of their love in their married days – KC Concepcion.

As if this was not enough for everyone’s hearts, this was followed by a #throwbackthursday post from the Mega star when she uploaded on her Instagram account an old photo of her and Gabby on February 8.

Entitled as “Kamusta Ka,” the commercial features Nonoy Zuniga’s song of the same name.

As of writing, the video has more than 28,000 views on Youtube, and 1.2 million views on Facebook – just five hours from its upload time. It is also one of Twitter’s trending topics with 1,300 tweets.

The last time that the two worked together was still in 1992 in the film “Tayong Dalawa.”

In December 2016, it was announced that the two were to work in a movie but it was postponed due to scheduling problems on Gabby’s side.

Sharon’s very first feature film “Dear Heart” was also the first film for the two to work together. Due to its success, it got a sequel entitled, “P.S. I love you.”

Sharon and Gabby had more projects together namely “My Only Love,” “Dapat Ka bang Mahalin?” “Bakit Ikaw pa rin?” and “Una kang Naging Akin.”

Sharon and Gabby were married for three years in their late teenage years.

Sharon is currently married to Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, while Gabby tied the knot with Genevieve Yatco Gonzales.
