MANILA — Amid the ongoing impeachment proceedings against her before the House of Representatives, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has scored the lowest approval and trust rating among top national government officials, according to a survey released by Pulse Asia on Monday.

In the December 2017 Pulse Asia poll, the top magistrate earned the highest disapproval and distrust ratings, with 26 percent and 33 percent respectively.

Pulse Asia said only 31 percent of Filipinos approve Sereno’s performance, while 40 percent were undecided.

Meanwhile, Sereno had the highest approval rating in Mindanao at 37 percent, followed by Visayas at 33 percent, Luzon at 29 percent and Metro Manila at 25 percent.
