Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza is set to step her feet on Eat Bulaga’s stage again after she took a long break from the entertainment universe.

The good news was confirmed by Maine’s talent manager, Rams David.

“Definitely Maine will be back on Eat Bulaga para sa kaalaman ng fans niyang nakaka-miss sa kanya (To fans who miss her, definitely Maine will be back on Eat Bulaga),” Rams was quoted as saying in a Bandera report.

“Napagod lang si Meng so humingi ng break. Naiintindihan naman namin yon. Imagine two years siyang walang pahinga. Sumabak siya sa mundo ng showbiz nang walang kaalam-alam (Maine got tired so she asked for a break and we understand that. Imagine, she had no breaks from the last two years. She entered the showbiz world without knowing anything),” the talent manager stressed.

In a report from Philippine Star Ngayon, Rams said that the actress is with her family in the United States for their Christmas vacation.

The 22-year-old actress will be flying back to Manila on December 31 and will appear on television screen again in January 1, 2018.

Rams also addressed Maine’s emotional open-letter to fans in November, wherein the actress expressed mixed emotions of gratitude and indignation over the support and attention her fans shower her.

The talent manager said that Maine pleaded for freedom to feel what she wants to feel, be who she wants to be, and do what she wants to do.

The actress’ open-letter sparked idle talks, including a hearsay that she will transfer to another network. Rams, however, said that there’s no truth this claim.

Maine made her name after posting Dubsmash videos that went viral on Facebook. She was later invited by GMA as one of the talents in the ‘Kalyeserye’ segment of Eat Bulaga, portraying the role of “Yaya Dub,” and the other half of the famous love team AlDub, along with actor Alden Richards.

As Maine comes back to the showbiz world, Rams also shared that the actress has three endorsements lined up for next year.

Asked about updates on Maine’s movie with Alden, the talent manager said that the film will push through but the concept has been changed.

“Tuloy pa rin yon. Binago na lang ang concept. Hindi na yung may action. Gusto namin yung maganda talagang story (The movie will continue. But the concept changed. It will no longer be an action-packed film. We want a better story),” Rams said.
