MANILA — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Region 8 will bring products of Eastern Visayas, including products of typhoon Yolanda-hit Tacloban to Metro Manila next week.

These products will be featured during the Bahandi Eastern Visayas Trade Fair from Oct. 4 to 8 at the Megatrade Hall 1, Mega B, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

The five-day exhibit and fair, now on its 20th year, will gather 125 mirco, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from processed food and homestyle and wearables sectors.
About a third of the participating MSMEs are enrollees of One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) Next Generation Program and graduates of Kapatid Mentor Me Program of DTI.

The Bahandi trade fair aims to promote quality products from Eastern Visayas and help MSMEs increase their income.

In last year’s Bahandi, participating MSMEs were able to generate sales of PHP17.35 million. (PNA)
