The 22-year-old Filipina singer from Manila, Philippines, Alisah Bonaobra, wows X Factor UK judges with her rendition of Beyonce’s Listen.

It was an emotional moment for Alisah’s family as the young singer made it to the next round of the X Factor UK series 14. Alisah got four yeses from judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Alisah believes that her talent is world class, and said that she would like to represent the Filipino community in the United Kingdom.

According to Cowell, Alisah came from the country of amazing singers.

The young singer was accompanied by 20 family members and friends during the audition round. She shared the importance of her journey in the British television music competition and shared how her mother’s friend helped her audition.

“This X Factor journey is very memorable for me. Because I dedicate this fight for my family way back in the Philippines because I’m only here because of my mother’s friend. They just contributed enough money for our plane ticket just to audition here in X Factor UK.”

Her performance brought Nicole Scherzinger to tears. Scherzinger remarked that Alisa has a God-given talent which is an unbelievable gift.

“I’m crying because I come from very humble beginnings as well,” Scherzinger said.

Bonaobra was first seen as one of the members of Team Apl De Ap of The Voice of the Philippines season 2, in which she finished as runner-up. She was also a finalist in Eat Bulaga’s Just Duet.

As of press time, the video of her audition has gained 2.4 million views on YouTube.
