Joey wittily answers Vice Ganda’s joke on GMA’s “Where you belong” tagline

A twitter post of Eat Bulaga host Joey De Leon yesterday seemed to be an answer to It’s Showtime Host Vice Ganda’s jokes about GMA’s “Where you belong” tagline.

The veteran comedian-TV host tweeted, “We don’t care where we belong. Ang iniintindi namin ay TO BE LONG! Or TO BE THE LONGEST!”

Also on the tweet is Joey’s photo wearing “Eat Bulaga T-shirt” with an imprinted number 39. The noontime show has been running on the Philippine television for 39 years now.

In this post, comedian and former Eat Bulaga host Michael V replied “Sabi nga ng millenials… TOMOOO!”

Joey even tweeted, “Wala pa pala kaming kabuhay-buhay nung lagay na yun dahil LIFE BEGINS AT 40!

Eat Bulaga started its show at RPN-9 on July 1979. After a decade, it transferred to ABS-CBN where it lasted for six years.

It was 1995 when Eat Bulaga moved to GMA Network and continues its airing until at present.

It can be recalled that on August 7, Vice on It’s Showtime segment “Miss Q and A” jokingly raised a question: “Kung sinasabing ‘GMA is where you belong,’ bakit sila nagsisilipat?”

This is after former Kapuso stars Aljur Abrenica and Louise delos Reyes moved to ABS-CBN.

On the other hand, Michael V said the reason why he stayed at GMA is that he had matured enough to tolerate problems.

Napagpapasensiyahan ko na yung mga problema… tumanda na siguro ako!,” the Bubble Gang and Pepito Manaloto Star said. “Nag-mature kasi siguro ako sa GMA—career-wise tsaka personally.”

For GMA executive Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable, “Napakaliit ng industriya, may aalis, may dadating, ganun din naman sa… may papalitan, may papalit.”
