Oil prices rise on falling US stockpiles
NEW YORK, Aug. 9 — Oil prices rose on Wednesday after report showed US crude inventories fell more than expected.
US crude oil inventories fell by a sharp 6.5 million barrels in the August 4 week to 475.4 million, 3.6 percent below the level a year ago, according to a report released by the US Energy Information Administration.
