Cloudy skies, some rains likely in N. Luzon, Metro Manila till Saturday
MANILA–Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over extreme Northern Luzon’s Batanes province and Calayan Islands, the state weather bureau, PAGASA, said in its 24-hour forecast released Friday afternoon.
PAGASA also forecast partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The northeast monsoon or ‘amihan’ is affecting extreme Northern Luzon while the easterlies are affecting the country’s eastern seaboard.
According to PAGASA, moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast to east will prevail over Northern Luzon where coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
“Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas,” PAGASA added.
