CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronaldo Dela Rosa on Saturday asked 690 surrenderers of the PNP’s “Oplan Tokhang” in the Cagayan valley region to remain çommitted against taking or pushing drugs during ceremonies called for oath of voluntary surrender in Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) ground, at Camp Arduru, Tuguegarao City.

The police chief asked the surrenderees to promise him to totally shun from drugs and cooperate with the government’s efforts to wipe out the drug problem in the country.

The police chief enjoined the surrenderers to seek the guidance of the Lord as, he said, ‘is the best weapon to easily combat any rebound effect of their addiction.’

Dela Rosa said they (surrenderers) should also think about their loved ones, who aspire for their wellness and love, and who would always be ready to support them as they turn their back against drugs.

Dela Rosa said he would come back after a year and vowed to check on them. He said he would be happy to see them healthy and fit, and have totally transformed into responsible and law abiding citizens of the country.
