MANILA – Unlike other celebrities, model-beauty queen Patricia Tumulak has long been vocal about undergoing cosmetic surgery and has even referred customers to her doctor.

Proud po ako… I was once an ugly duckling… As long as masaya ka sa result, may pag-asa ang siyensiyaKung masaya ka, hindi naman nagbago ang attitude mo sa life mo, hindi ka matapobre,” she said in a PEP.ph report.

(I’m proud… I was once an ugly duckling… As long as you’re happy with the result, there’s hope in science… If you’re happy, your attitude towards life didn’t change, you don’t look down on other people, [it’s okay].)

Kapag may nagtatanong talaga, proud ako na, ‘Yan talaga ako Day!’ May picture pa nga akoMalaki talaga ang ilong ko, tinrim siya,”she added.

(If someone asks, I’m proud and say, ‘That’s me!’ I even have a photo [of my old self]… I had a huge nose, it was trimmed.)

Although proud of her enhancements, Patricia understood why other celebrities would rather not talk about theirs.

May choice sila kung gusto nilang i-denyPero mas ikauunlad ng doctor kung ire-refer nila! Ang dami ko nang na-refer sa doctor koDapat binibigyan niya na ko ng [komisyon]!” she quipped.

(They have a choice should they want to deny… But it’ll be good for the doctor if they give referrals! I have referred many to my doctor. I should be given commissions already!)

Proud talaga ako. Pero minsang nga, sabi ng manager ko, ‘Huwag mo naming idiretso, kapag tinanong ka na langE, minsan, inuunahan ko na,” she added.

(I’m just really proud. But sometimes, my manager tells me, ‘Don’t tell people at once, but only when you’re asked… Because sometimes, I go ahead of them.)
