MANILA – Onscreen couple Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza announced temporarily leaving GMA’s daily noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga!’ to shoot their upcoming film in Italy with acclaimed movie director Mike Tuviera.

(Time passed so quickly as we haven’t been together for a year yet, we’re together every day; then now, you won’t see Alden and me [for a while]… We’ll return. We’ll just make a film.)

(We’re with all of you in the making of this movie. We thank everyone who supported us… All of this is for you.)

Although they will be missing their fans, Alden shared that their film is their way of giving thanks for all the support they have been receiving since they first starred in Eat Bulaga!’s ‘Kalyeserye’ segment.

(This is special. [This is] for all of you. We’ll do everything we can to make this movie beautiful… We hope that you continue to support Maine and me in everything we do.)

(We’re just here for all of you; whatever challenge comes, we’ll hold on.)
