Malacanang declares Sept. 25 ’15 as regular national holiday

MANILA — President Benigno Aquino III has declared Sept. 25, 2015, a Friday, as a national holiday in line with the Muslims’ observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

According to Proclamation No. 1128, Republic Act (RA) 9849, states that Eid’l Adha, which is one of the greatest feast of Islam, shall be celebrated as a regular holiday.

It explained that the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) recommended that observance of the said event in the country be done on Sept.
