BACOLOD CITY, September 1 (PNA) — The Province of Negros Occidental, together with the Bacolod-Talisay-Silay (BTS) tourism circuit, will participate in the 26th Philippine Travel Mart at the SMX Convention Center in Manila on Sept. 4 to 6.

Acting Provincial Tourism Officer Ellen Jalandoni will lead the Negros Occidental delegation composed of the Tourism Division staff, tour operators, and various stakeholders.

The three-day travel fair will include contact marketing, tour caravan sale, and participation in cultural events.

The Negros delegation aims to sell tour packages in the BTS circuit and the rest of Negros Occidental.

To boost an increase in tourist arrivals and generate employment for the province, the Local Governance Support Program for Local Economic Development (LGSP-LED) will provide for the rental of a booth and its décor for the said participation.

The annual Philippine Travel Mart has about 50,000 visitors with an estimated income of P83 million.(PNA)
