MANILA — Following weeks of deactivating her account, actress Liza Soberano is finally back on Twitter.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Liza said that she got hurt and disappointed with her bashers online.

“You guys know that I’ve experienced bashing, I know how it feels. ‘Yung ibang mga tao, ayaw kong nae-experience din nila because I know how low it can make you feel. As much as possible, I like to promote peace. Siguro one time, I saw na on my fans’ side, hindi rin nila maiwasan ma-overwhelm or masaktan kasi ako ‘yung bina-bash so pumapatol sila,” she said.

(You guys know that I’ve experienced bashing, I  know how it feels. Other people don’t want to feel that because they know how it can make you feel. As much as possible, I like to promote peace. Maybe one time, I saw my fans and they cannot avoid to be overwhelmed or hurt because I’m the one who gets bashed so they also fight back.)

She also said that it would be better that fans also get along just as how she and other celebrities get along and be friends in real life.
“Sana yung mga tao matuto na sila magkaroon ng peace in between the fandoms. It’s been going on for so long na. For me, hindi ba sila nagsasawa? In real life, lahat kaming teen stars, wala naman pong away. Bakit kailangan ‘yung fans, nag-aaway? Why can’t they just be happy for the success of others? Pinagsabihan ko sila. Some got hurt, some unfollowed me,” she said.

(I hope that they learn how to have peace between the fandoms. It’s been going on for so long. For me, are they not tired of it? In real life, all of us, teen stars don’t fight. Why do fans have to fight each other? Why can’t they just be happy for the success of others? I scolded them. Some got hurt, some unfollowed me.)

Soberano added that she feels that she was trying to be a good influence to the fans.

“I felt like I was trying to send out a message kasi ako as a celebrity, I’m an influencer. I want to influence them to do the right thing. Na-hurt ako kasi I was trying to do the right thing pero parang mali pa rin.”
