MANILA – In an interview with GMA News, comedienne-actress Ai-Ai delas Alas disclosed that they have already found former child actor Jiro Manio’s biological father in Japan.

“’Yung mga friends ko from Japan ang hiningan ko ng tulong… Actually, nahanap na siya. Hindi pa lang namin makausap kasi, the father, may family,” she said.

(I’ve asked for help from my friends in Japan. Actually, he has already been found. We just couldn’t talk to him yet because the father has a family.)

“Siyempre, isipin din muna natin yung kalagayan din nung kabilang side,” she added.

(Of course, we should also consider the situation of the other side.)

Ai-Ai has already informed Jiro about his father and asked him to understand his father’s situation.

“Pinaintindi ko naman kay Jiro. Nakakatuwa kasi nakikinig naman siya… Naintindihan niya kung saan kami dapat magsimula,” she said.

(I told Jiro to understand. It’s good that he also listens… He understands where we should start.)

At present, Jiro has been staying at a wellness facility.

Ai-Ai and Jiro worked together in the film “Ang Tanging Ina,” where the former played the role of a mother to the then 11-year-old actor.

When Jiro was found wandering at the NAIA Terminal 3 last month, Ai-Ai immediately reached out to him and sought to help him with his personal problems; one of which was finding his Japanese father.
