MANILA — Sarangani Vice Governor Jinkee Pacquiao is retiring from politics after her term ends in 2016.

The wife of boxing champ and Congressman Manny Pacquiao said in an interview for Inquirer Mindanao that she will no longer be running for any position in next year’s election.

“I will no longer be seeking any political position in next year’s elections. I’d like to devote my time and energy to my family and our business.

Jinkee said that she wants to give way to others who aim for the position.

“My husband is the congressman of the province. To me, having one member of the family actively involved in politics is already enough.
