MANILA — “Ano ba ang hinahanap mo, unless nahanap mo na?”

(What are you looking for? Unless you already found it?)

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista asked Kris Aquino about the traits she is looking for in a man, during his guesting on ABS-CBN’s “Kris TV.”

“There are certain qualities that are important,” Aquino responded.

“Ayaw ko ng tamad. Gusto ko well-read. So gusto ko masipag, mapagbasa at maalalahanin.

(I hate those who are lazy. I want some-one who is well-read, industrious, loves reading and caring.

“Kasi I’m norturing and caring individual, so hinahanap ko ‘yon sa isang tao (so I’m looking for those traits). Di ba, kapag ako ang nagbitaw ng salita… naalala ko. (When you say something, I remember it, right?) And I myself, when I say something I do it,” she added.

Bautista’s question came after Aquino chastised him for his failure to express concern when she was sick last week.

“Two days akong sick, you could have just said, ‘Kumusta ka?’ E ‘di wala tayong ganito ngayon,” Kris told Herbert.

(I was sick for two days, you could have just said ‘How are you?’ And we shouldn’t be like this right now.)

But when asked if she is still mad at Bautista for not checking on her, Aquino said:

“No, I just like to be friendly na lang (No, I just like to be friendly.),” she said.

The two, were reported to have been “almost lovers,” will be working on the movie “Mr. and Mrs. Split” for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
