MANILA – According to state investigators, drug trafficking convict Mary Jane Veloso’s alleged recruiter, Maria Kristina Sergio, was a frequent traveler.

Referencing Sergio’s travel records, the investigators found out that she travelled at least twice a month to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia since 2009.

They, however, were confused on why Sergio’s airline and immigration records did not match.

Hence, there were times when Sergio travelled abroad without the knowledge of the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

There were dates Christine was supposed to have left the country based on airline records but her passport did not bear any stamp that she left,” a source who wished to remain anonymous said.

Despite the disparity, the state investigators were able to confirm that Veloso and Sergio did travel together in 2010, bound for Malaysia.
