CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, N.L. — Newfoundland MP Scott Andrews will respond today after it was reported he will be expelled from the Liberal caucus over allegations of sexual misconduct.

His constituency office says he has scheduled a news conference over the lunch hour in Conception Bay South.

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is expected to announce today that both Andrews and Montreal MP Massimo Pacetti will be booted from the party’s caucus over the allegations.

Pacetti announced Wednesday that he won’t seek re-election.

Both Pacetti and Andrews have maintained they did nothing wrong.

In a statement Wednesday, Andrews said he was astounded to learn through media reports that he was about to be expelled, adding that he has co-operated fully with an independent investigation into the allegations.

Party insiders have said the findings of that investigation won’t be made public.
