Maja Salvador has her fans eagerly awaiting ABS-CBN’s upcoming series,, “Bridges of Love,” in which the 26-year-old actress-singer takes on a more gutsy and daring role.

Although the trailer of the soon-to-be-aired soap depicts Maja dancing in a sexy two-piece bikini, she says that she is not out to establish herself as a sexy actress.

“Hindi ko naman ginawa ’yon dahil nagpapa-sexy ako,” she maintained. “Ano siya, para siyang art na may konting twist, konting spice,” Maja said.

Admittedly her “bravest” role so far, Maja emphasizes that the soap – which also stars Jericho Rosales and Paulo Avelino – really focuses on the theme of brotherhood.

“Mas kuwento ito ng magkapatid. Si Jericho and Paulo ay pinaghiwalay. May kwento siya, may puso,” she s.hared

In reaction to questions on whether or not Maja’s boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, was okay with her bolder role, she said: “Alam naman niya ’yon. Sa amin namang dalawa, work is work. Bubusina ka lang, konting respeto. Dapat siya ang nakaaalam bago ang lahat.”
