Woman in hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Toronto’s east end

TORONTO — A woman is in critical but stable condition in hospital after a stabbing in Toronto’s east end.

The victim, who is in her mid-30s, suffered several stab wounds to the torso and neck at a building (on Lawrence Avenue East).

Police were called to the scene just after 2 a.

m. Monday after reports of a domestic dispute.

A man in his early 40s has been arrested.

There is no immediate word on any charges.
