Toronto man faces charges after police say woman sexually assaulted in apartment
TORONTO — A Toronto man is facing multiple charges following a sexual assault investigation.
Police say it stems from an incident on Nov. 23, when it’s alleged a man went to a 43-year-old woman’s apartment building (in the Birchmount Road and Finch Avenue East area).
It’s alleged the man was invited into the apartment by the woman because he claimed to be interested in subletting the unit.
Police say when the man got inside the apartment, he tied the woman up and sexually assaulted her.
It’s also alleged that the man pulled out a gun, pointed it at the woman and robbed her of personal items before fleeing the scene hours later.
Min Feng Ma, 28, faces 10 charges, including sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, robbery, uttering threats and several other weapons-related offences.
Police say they believe there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers.
