DPWH: 6 road sections in regions 5 and 8 hardly passable to traffic due to ‘Ruby’

MANILA — Road sections in Regions V and VIII have been closed to traffic because of flooding, landslides and fallen trees due to typhoon Ruby, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported on Monday.

In an executive summary, as of 6:00 am, the department said that six road sections arechardly passable to traffic– three in Region V and three in Region VIII due to flooding, muddy road, landslides, fallen trees and electric posts.

Four road sections are not passable to light vehicles due to flooding in Region VIII. All other national roads of affected regions are open to traffic.

The DPWH has already deployed equipment and manpower to these areas and has installed warning signs on affected road sections.

Likewise, clearing operations are being conducted as well as assessment and field verification.

The affected road sections are the following:
