DOJ knows who conspired with drug lords at NBP — De Lima

MANILA — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has identified the alleged conspirators of big drug lords who continuously do their illegal activities inside the New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.

Justice Secretary Leila M. De Lima on Wednesday said that the Department of Justice (DOJ) already knew who were the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) personnel who conspired with the drug lords.

However, De Lima declined to name the conspirators until such time that the investigation is over.

The DOJ Chief clarified that the BuCor personnel were also included in their ongoing investigation.

She also said that if proven that they indeed conspired with the drug lords inside the Bilibid, they would surely face the appropriate sanction.

De Lima also said that the proliferation of illegal activities inside the Bilibid was not impossible becathere were NBP officials or personnel who conspired with the perpetrators.
