On the heels of opening its flagship store in Manila, Swedish retailer H&M announced its partnership with New York-based fashion designer Alexander Wang.

Wang is the latest addition to the impressive roster of top designers who have partnered with H&M.   The high-fashion retailer previously collaborated with renowned designers Isabel Marant, Maison Martin Margiela, Karl Lagerfeld and Matthew Williamson.

Unlike the pieces of the other designers who have collaborated with the retail chain, however, most of Wang’s designs have been conceived exclusively and originally for H&M, and are not lower-priced versions of his existing collections.

These designs – 61 pieces in all; including items in men and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories – have been predominantly influenced by athletic wear, with silhouettes and shapes ranging from boxy to figure-hugging.

Neoprene dresses, sweaters and leggings are among Wang’s staple pieces; and hues of this sporty collection are primarily black, white or shades of gray. Each piece bears the signature brand “Wang” in big, bold letters.

The Alexander Wang x H&M collection will drop in over 250 H&M stores across the globe on November 6.
