MANILA – Asking the anti-graft court to move her away from Camp Bagong Diwa, Jessica “Gigi” Reyes said she is afraid of female members of the New People’s Army who may have a grudge against Senator Juan Ponce Enrile.

“The detention of accused Reyes at the Female Dormitory of Camp Bagong Diwa with the NPA detainees, who accused Reyes will have to mingle in the common areas, poses security risks to her life and has caused her fear and contributed to her anxiety,” Reyes’ team said in a motion.

The said “risks” were cited by Reyes’ team to convince the court that she must be transferred to the custodial center just as in the case of Senators Ramon Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada.

Reyes said there were nine female members of NPA inside the facility and housing them together may not be good for her.

Reyes made the statement in a motion for reconsideration filed after she was brought to the hospital following her seizures because of a panic attack while inside the detention facility.

Her motion to be transferred to the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame was earlier dismissed by court with the justices lecturing her lawyers about the difference of a detention jail and a custodial center.
