Angeli Bayani to star in Australian film

MANILA – Gawad Urian’s Best Actress for this year, Angeli Bayani will be starring in another international film.

After beating both Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos for the Urian’s Best  Actress Award, Bayani said in a press conference held Thursday, that she is taking her career to the next level with the upcoming international film she is starring.

Bayani also mentioned the overwhelming feeling she is still feeling even months after she took home the Urian Award.

“Ngayon na nauwi ko ang Urian, para sa akin po hindi talagang pressure ang term para sa nararamdaman ko,” she said.

(Now that I was able to take home the Urian Award, for me “pressure” is not really the term to describe what I feel.)

She said she felt more like a testament to her mentor’s achievements adding that she really owe a lot of their help for reaching the heights of her career.

“I would not be here if not for their guidance. Gusto ko lang po ituloy (I want to continue),” she added.

In her next international movie titled, “Foreigner,” she will be portraying the role of a boxer’s wife.

Bayani will also be working with foreign directors including Australians Sam and Tom McKeith for the said film set in the Philippines.
