1,862 new civil engineers; Mapua tops examinations

The Philippines welcomes new civil engineers as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination results on Wednesday.

Out of 4,289 examinees, 1,862 passed from Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Baguio, Davao, Iloilo, Lucena, and Legazpi.

Harvey Malolos of Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila bested all other examinees with a score of 95.10 percent.

Meanwhile, PRC hailed De La Salle University – Manila as the top performing school in the May 2014 examinations with a passing rate ot 93.94 percent.

PRC informed the passers that the release of professional identification card (ID) as well as the certificate of registration will be done from May 19 to 21, 2014. Oathtaking ceremonies will be announced at a later date.
