MANILA — A video released by GMA News shows Vice President Jejomar ‘Jojo’ Binay in a heated conversation with a policeman Monday night (June 29) outside the Makati City Hall.
The Vice President’s son, Mayor Jejomar Erwin ‘JunJun’ Binay Jr., refuses to leave the City Hall despite the second suspension order issued by the Office of the Ombudsman. A copy of the suspension order was posted on the building entrance by Tuesday morning.
The video shows VP Binay (wearing a red cap) talking with one of the policemen barricading the City Hall, who was later identified as Senior Superintendent Elmer Jamias, the ground commander from Southern Police District.

The 35-second video shows Binay wagging and pointing his finger at Jamias saying, “Marahas ka sa tao (You’re rough with people).”
“Sir, wala ho akong ginagawang ganong [karahasan] (Sir, I didn’t do anything rude),” Jamias answered, his voice trailing off as he added that he’s been in the force for 34 years.
“Ito ang sinasabi ko sa ‘yo… Lalabanan ka namin (I’m telling you… We will fight you),” Binay told Jamias.
Jamias responded, “Mr. Vice President, nire-respesto ko ho kayo bilang vice president… Ang purpose lang ho natin dito [ay] panatilihin ang katahimikan dito sa lugar niyo. Wala nang iba (Mr. Vice President, I respect you as the vice president… Our only purpose here is to maintain the peace in your area. Nothing else).”
“Bakit niyo hinaharang? Ayaw niyong papasukin (Why are you blocking [people]? You don’t want them to come in)” Binay asked Jamias, referring to his sister-in-law Aida Dizon who was reportedly shoved as she tried to enter the City Hall premises.
Jamias responded that they are simply enforcing a checkpoint and not blocking the entrance.
