MMDA to reroute trucks passing Roxas Blvd. due to ASEAN Summit

MANILA–The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will reroute all trucks that are registered and not registered under the Terminal Appointment Booking System, have a gross capacity weight of at least 4,500 kg. and traversing Roxas Blvd. on April 27-28, due to the holding of the 30th ASEAN Summit at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

In its advisory, the MMDA urged truckers to take the following routes on Thursday and Friday:

For trucks coming from Port Area to South Super Highway (SLEX), take Bonifacio Drive, left P. Burgos, Finance Road, Ayala Blvd., right at San Marcelino, left to Pres. Quirino Ave., and right at South Super Highway.

Trucks from SLEX going to Port Area should take South Super Highway, turn right to Pres. Quirino Ave., left at Plaza Dilao, right at Pres. Quirino Ave. Ext., left at United Nations Ave., right at Romualdez St., left at Ayala, Finance Road, P. Burgos, and right at Bonifacio Drive to Port Area.

MMDA has earlier announced that the number coding scheme is lifted in Metro Manila except in the cities of Makati and Las Piñas on Friday.
