MANILA— The country will continue to experience warm weather and isolated rainshowers likely until Thursday,as the ridge of a high pressure area extends across Luzon, and the easterlies are still affecting the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.

In its 24-hour forecast, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced over the whole archipelago.

Light to moderate winds will blow from east to southeast over Luzon, and from east to northeast over Visayas and Mindanao.

Weather forecaster Meno Mendoza said no gale warning was issued as of Wednesday afternoon. Thus, it’s safe for the fisherfolk to travel the seaboards, he said.

The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA), which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Mendoza said the LPA is more than 1,000 kilometers away from Mindanao.
