Cloudiness, some rains likely till Sunday
MANILA –Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected over CARAGA and Davao regions, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 24-hour forecast released Saturday afternoon (March 18).
Trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) is affecting the eastern section of Mindanao, said PAGASA.
PAGASA also forecast partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and rest of Luzon.
The northeast monsoon or ‘amihan’ is affecting Luzon, PAGASA said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced over rest of the country, PAGASA said.
“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to east will prevail over Northern Luzon and coming from the northeast over rest of Luzon and Eastern Visayas,” PAGASA said further.
Coastal waters in those areas will be moderate to rough, PAGASA noted.
“Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas,” PAGASA added.
