Uniqlo highlights innovation in 2017 Spring/Summer Collection

MANILA –Japanese brand Uniqlo has just introduced its 2017 Spring/Summer Collection showcasing fashionable, comfy pieces that also highlighted innovation.

Uniqlo’s “LifeWear” tagline was patterned to the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity, said Uniqlo Philippines Chief Operating Officer Katsumi Kubota during the collection’s press preview.

He said the brand is constantly innovating its products to give everyone better designs and comfort, plus more warmth and lightness in clothing.

These are what the public can look forward to the 2017 Spring/Summer collection:

* Denim

Do you know that the brand has established its Denim Innovation Center? This aims to combine tradition, fashion and technology to create stylish and comfortable to wear jeans.

Whether one is looking for distressed jeans, skinny jeans, etc., Uniqlo has a wide variety of denim designs made with quality materials.

* Airism

Sometimes, especially in the Philippines, wearing inner clothing makes one feel hotter. Airism is Uniqlo’s line of innovative innerwear which controls sweat.

It uses a quick-drying technology and also helps in keeping the skin dry when perspiring.

* Work Smart

This collection offers comfortable yet polished and versatile pieces suitable for work.

Uniqlo understands that working people need to keep their clothes neat despite their busy schedules. Thus, the Work Smart collection was made with fabrics such as drape and rayon that are both wrinkle-resistant and easy to wash.

It also offers items that men and women can mix and match.

* UT

UT or Uniqlo t-shirts showcases various designs that depict different emotions and moods of people. Some designs also showcases pop art and culture.

* Magic for All

For the kids at heart and Disney lovers, Uniqlo offers the Magic for All, which is also a part of the UT collection.

Magic for All is a global collaboration showcasing designs/characters from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar.

* Uniqlo Kids/Baby

Most moms love to dress up their kids. Thus, the brand offers comfortable and durable clothing both for babies and children.

The brand noted that the items in this collection are functional, high-quality and were made for easier removal.

* Sport

Choosing the right kind of clothes for sports or workout is essential.

For this year, the brand has expanded its lineup of apparel to cover a wider range of sports.

The collection also aims to provide functionality and enhance the athletic performance of the customers.

* Ines De La Fressange

This is a collaboration with French fashion icon Ines de La Fressange. The lineup consists of styles combining her signature indigo with berry accents.

* Uniqlo U

Basically, this collection was made at the brand’s research and development (R&D) center in Paris. Here, the design team thoughtfully considers every element in the clothing, making sure that every design is tested and sophisticated.
