MANILA –A coalition of labor organizations is optimistic that their meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte will be a fruitful one.

In a statement, the Nagkaisa labor coalition said its members are ready to hold the dialogue with the President on Monday.

“We are positive the President will listen to us and act on the issue of contractualization and other labor issues we will raise before him,” the group said.

They added that they are also willing to listen to what the Chief Executive will tell them.

“We are also eager to listen to what he will say and looking forward to what he will say,” the Nagkaisa said.

The group added, “We are hopeful that in the exchange he will understand and find inspiration that as President he has power to uplift the worsening condition of workers and make wealth not only exclusive to a few.
